NMR is an analytical technique for the structural and dynamic characterisation of organic and inorganic molecules or complexes. Complex matrices such as tissues or materials (cement, wood, membranes) can also be studied by NMR.
NMR provides information at the atomic scale on three-dimensional structure, molecular interactions and the dynamic of these interactions. It is a key technique in the characterisation of molecules and polymers in chemistry, as well as materials.
NMR is also a powerful tool in structural biology for the analysis of proteins, sugars, DNA/RNA or lipid membranes. Among the most studied nuclei we find hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, fluorine or phosphorus.
The NMR platform, composed of 7 spectrometers allowing liquid or solid analyses, certified ISO 9001 and NF X50-900 since 2017, offers expertise for analytical applications.
From 2009 to 2023, the platform had been one of the sites of the Infranalytics national network of the NMR division ( previously IR RMN THC). Our site was open to the scientific community, providing them with access to a high-field spectrometer (800MHz) and innovative equipment.
