Birgit Habenstein, CNRS researcher at the IECB in the team «Â NMR of Molecular Assemblies" has been awarded the CNRS-Momentum funding for her project "Molecular Mechanisms of the force generation during bacterial division at the atomic level». She will use NMR spectroscopy to study processes linked to bacterial division at an atomic resolution.

CNRS-Momentum is a recent national program to provide the financial basis for young researchers to conduct their independent and ambitious projects. From 383 eligible projects, Birgit's project has been selected as one of the 20 projects to benefit from the 3-year funding.
